Clayesmore is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school at Iwerne Minster, near Blandford Forum, set within 62 acres of North Dorset countryside around a Victorian mansion, a lake and woodland. It describes itself as one of the few schools in the country to offer a complete journey from Nursery to Sixth Form, for day pupils and boarders, and calls its ethos "Inclusive Excellence". Its LEX programme, run on Saturday mornings over five years, builds communication, leadership and real-world skills alongside lessons. Boarders live in five houses: Aubrey for Prep pupils in Years 3 to 8, Manor and Gate for boys and King's and Wolverton for girls in Years 9 to 13. The school keeps international pupils at around 15% of its roll, and its English as an Additional Language department prepares pupils for the Cambridge exams; Clayesmore is a Cambridge test centre. In the Sixth Form, students take three subjects from A Levels and BTECs, with the option of an Extended Project Qualification. The school describes its A Level track record as 28% A* to A and 52% A* to B, and recent leavers have gone on to Oxford, Bristol, Exeter and UCL, and to apprenticeships including Aston Martin.
