Why the UK
Why Choose a UK Football Education?
The United Kingdom is the birthplace of modern football and home to a long-established independent school system. UK football boarding schools let international students develop in the classroom and on the pitch in the same place, with English-language immersion, recognised qualifications such as GCSEs and A-levels, and regular competitive fixtures.
Support for families
Dedicated International Support
Our partner schools understand the unique needs of international families. From airport transfers and guardianship arrangements to EAL (English as an Additional Language) support and cultural integration programmes, every detail is considered. Many schools have dedicated international coordinators who serve as the first point of contact for overseas families.

Step-by-Step Guide for International Families
Key Considerations
Essentials for International Families

Visa Requirements
Most international students need a Child Student visa, sponsored by the school. Visa questions go to the school's international team or a qualified immigration adviser; we do not give visa advice.

Guardianship
All international boarders under 18 must have a UK-based guardian. We can recommend trusted guardianship agencies.

Fees & Funding
International full boarding starts from around £38,000 a year, including VAT, and rises with the school and year group. Scholarships and bursaries can reduce the cost.

Settling into UK Boarding Life
The first few weeks at a new school in a new country can be daunting, but UK boarding schools excel at welcoming international students. Buddy systems, dedicated induction programmes, and a vibrant community of fellow international pupils mean your child will quickly feel at home. Schools celebrate cultural diversity and many organise international food nights, language clubs, and cultural events throughout the year.
International families
Three processes at once, and they run in parallel
School, visa and guardian all have to line up before your child can start. Tell us where you are and we will tell you what has to happen first, and what can wait.
Free to families. We are paid by schools on enrolment.
